Lord Shiva is one of the three main gods in Hinduism and is known as The Destroyer god. He is often portrayed seated on a tiger skin with four arms. He holds a trident as his main weapon, and a drum in one of his other hands. It is believed that Lord Shiva creates, preserves, and destroys the universe in cyclical destruction and re-creation. He is also known to be an embodiment of compassion and is often depicted holding a snake as his beloved consort.
