Megalodon was a giant shark that went extinct more than 2 million years ago. Its fossil remains have been found all over the world in mainland areas as well as oceanic islands. Megalodon grew up to 65 feet in length and weighed up to 50 tons - that's more than twice the size of the largest Great White shark!
