Jushiro Ukitake is a fictional character in the anime and manga series Bleach. He is a captain of the 13th squad of Gotei 13, one of the four noble houses, and the oldest in the Soul Society. He is the lieutenant of the 3rd Division and is the oldest and longest-serving captain of the Gotei 13. He is often seen as calm and level-headed, and his irrepressible smile is well-known. He is also well-liked by his subordinates and peers, even earning the nickname of "White-haired Captain" for his silver hair.
