Kushina Uzumaki is the mother of Naruto Uzumaki, the titular protagonist of Naruto, and the wife of Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage. She is is an exceptionally powerful Kunoichi, hailing from the Uzumaki Clan. In Part II of the manga, it was revealed that Kushina was also made the Ninth Hokage, posthumously.
