"The Birth of Venus" is a painting by the Italian Renaissance painter Sandro Botticelli. It was completed between 1482 and 1485 and is regarded as the earliest surviving representation of the classical Myth of the goddess of love Venus emerging fully-grown from the sea, symbolizing her birth into the world. The painting can be found in Contini-Bonacossi Collection in Florence, Italy today.
