Naota Nandaba is a 16-year-old student from the town of Mabase and the main protagonist of the coming-of-age mecha anime series FLCL. He lives with his father and grandfather, and is often visited by his brother and his brother’s wife. He was chosen by the alien Haruko Haruhara as the main energy source for her mission. His uniqueness to the story is that at a young age he is able to adapt and use technology that is far more advanced than even his elders can understand.
